Tuesday's not-a-blizzard may have been a letdown here in New York City, but other parts of the northeast felt its full wrath, with some parts of upstate New York getting two feet of powder. Up in Rhinebeck, they got enough snow to create a magical moment of YouTube virality, when an incoming Amtrak train blasted everyone waiting on the train platform in a most satisfying manner:
That's how you pierce some snow, ladies and gentlemen. Meanwhile, down in NYC, some people tried to set the world record for the biggest snowball fight in city history, and, as you can see from these photos below, they fell a tad short of their goal. But on the plus side, organizers say they raised over $600 for the Bowery Mission. And it looks like nobody got a gun pointed at them, so there's that.
