Who's ready for some outdoor movies?! The insanity that is the movie series in Bryant Park has already begun, but its okay if you want to avoid it: one of the best family friendly (albeit maybe a little traumatizing for some!) movies ever screens outside, tonight. And don't worry, there will be a bicycle valet.

Tonight the Brooklyn Bridge Park movie series kicks off with a screening of E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial. Phoning home with the Manhattan skyline behind you—how can you top that? With music and food, obviously. The fun starts at Pier 1 tonight at 6 p.m., and continues for the rest of the summer with a series that includes short films curated by BAMcinématek, DJs, and (seriously) bike valet services from Transportation Alternatives. Then the movies start at sunset, but you'll want to get there early for a spot. And on your way in, you can grab bites from Ditch Plains and Calexico. Just don't bring a chair—they aren't allowed on the lawn.

Can't make it? The summer is young! Just a few of the other flicks coming to the park include: To Kill A Mockingbird, Slumdog Millionaire and Wet Hot American Summer. So don't feel too bad!
