If you aren't reading Karl Ove Knausgaard yet, you may want to get yourself a copy of the first book in his Struggle series. Until then, read the two-part saga he penned for the NY Times earlier this year. And until then, head to the Film Society at Lincoln Center on Saturday.

As part of their new series, Print Screen, Knausgaard has selected a film to screen that has inspired his work.

On the occasion of the U.S. release of Book Four in his brilliant, widely acclaimed My Struggle series, we invited Karl Ove Knausgaard to make a carte blanche selection. A devotee of Dogme 95, Knausgaard selected Lars von Trier’s sui generis The Idiots, which he will introduce. A Q&A and book signing will follow.

This will take place Saturday, May 9th at 1 p.m., and tickets are on sale now. They are likely to sell out fast, as all of Knausgaard's appearances in NYC recently (including tonight at powerHouse) have been sell-outs.
