Talking Heads played around 130 shows in 1978—drummer Chris Frantz has said of that time: "It was really an education for us. I’m afraid we bit off more than we could chew. We thought that we could play every night, and we found that after four months we were feeling pretty uninspired.” Below, watch a full 13-song set from a show in Syracuse that year (possibly at Syracuse University), and after that: 23 minutes of a show at the Entermedia Theatre from that summer.

The latter clip includes backstage footage, as well as New Yorkers talking about the band outside of the venue (which is currently the VIllage East)—"They don't play any Talking Heads on radio in New York so we could never get exposed to it... they're scared cause it's gonna start making everyone thing."
