Bruno Mars pulled double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night. Sure, he was no Louis C.K., but he definitely exceeded low expectations and did a fine job, even if he relied on musical-related sketches a bit too much. It ended up being one of the better episodes this season, with the biggest highlights the cold open about the second presidential debate, two Tom Hanks cameos, a series of creepy Brad Pitt commercials, and the hilarious return of Stefon.

Click through to check out those highlights, as well as a somewhat surreal Sad Rat sketch, Seth Meyer's do's and don'ts for the presidential candidates, the Merryville robots, and some performances by Bruno. Unfortunately, a pretty good sketch (“Pandora Internet Radio Systems Headquarters”) in which Bruno had to do lots of musical impressions isn't online.
