In 2009 the PS 22 kids in Staten Island belted out "Don't Stop Believin'' by Journey, just one of the songs that put them on the map. And now the chorus is teaming up with fellow Staten Islander and former (1998 to 2006) Journey frontman Steve Augeri! The SI Advance eavesdropped on some rehearsals recently (video below), and says they'll all be performing it at Saturday’s Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden’s Italian Harvest Festival.

Kevin Tappen, the 10-year-old singing along with Augeri in the video below, told the paper, “I was, like, ‘Oh, gosh, famous rock star. Ten-year-old kid. Me. Ten-year-old kid is me. Holy smokes, I am singing with the guy who used to sing with Journey! I nearly passed out." This, coming from a kid who performed at the Oscars!

The Chorus and their new addition are scheduled to go on between 4:30 and 6 p.m. on Saturday.
