A lot of times in this city, that statue you pass in Central Park turns out to actually be a silver stationary artist bringing wonder to people of all ages. And sometimes...it's just a statue. Jeff Greenspan, the brains behind the brilliant Hipster Traps and Tourist Lane, tried out an experiment by placing a tip jar in front of a real statue at the High Line recently. As you can see in the video below, New Yorkers (and tourists) turned out to be more than generous with the inanimate object.
