A Dutch artist has turned his dead cat into a sort of prototype of a Predator Drone for mice. Bart Jansen was sad when Orville was killed by a car, but sought to honor him and his namesake—Orville Wright—by turning him into the Orvillecopter. "After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously," Jansen tells Sky News of his "half cat, half machine." Somehow Jansen was also able to affect a "Holy shit, I'm flying" expression on Orville's face.

Though his flight patterns aren't perfect, Jansen says, "He will receive more powerful engines and larger props for his birthday. So this hopping will soon change into steady flight." Jansen constructed the Orvillecopter for the KunstRai art festival in Amsterdam. Look for our new slideshow series in 2016: "Your Favorite Bodega Helicats."
