Earlier this month, we sojourned to LIU's Brooklyn campus gym to watch the tryouts for the new Brooklyn Nets dancers, the Brooklynettes. A few Mortal Kombat-esque roundhouse kicks later, and 350 hopefuls were ground down to 30. And last Wednesday, we ventured to Brooklyn Bowl for the public debut of the squad. Check out some photos above, and two videos below.

According to our photographer, the event was actually somewhat disappointing: "They barely danced! It started at 7 p.m. and they had the girls come out in groups of three and do a quick 30 second dance. It was all done before 7:25!"

The Brooklynettes also stopped by WPIX for their televised debut, which you can see here. You can follow the Brooklynettes on their Twitter here.
