Waking up early and watching pre-dawn coverage of the Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding might be impressive—but waking up and dressing up in wedding finery and hats at a Wills and Kate party takes real commitment! There were a number of places where New Yorkers could watch the glittering event, and those who showed up had no regrets: One woman told the Post, "I wasn't going to get up so early and do this, but then decided, what the hell? And I'm glad I did! It had been 30 years since I saw the last one."

At the DUMBO Archway under the Manhattan Bridge, the DUMBO Business Improvement District held a viewing party and they tells us, "We had over over 300 people from all five boroughs at 5:30AM this morning.  The first guests arrived at 4:15AM." In Times Square, TLC had a viewing party—and some couples were even married! Over in the West Village (aka "Little Britain"), watchers seemed to be happy for the couple and one ventured that the Duchess of Cambridge's sister Pippa Middleton was sexier.
