What’s worth watching on food-related TV this week? Here’s the breakdown:
Fox has Episode 6 of Hell's Kitchen on Monday at 9pm. Read the latest Entertainment Weekly episode wrapup here as well as a (slightly depressing) update on the previous two winners in the Post here.
The Surreal Gourmet, Bob Blumer, returns to TV with a new show on the Food Network. Called Glutton for Punishment, it premieres this Tuesday at 9:30pm. Blumer participates in a series of extreme culinary adventures, the first being to run in the NYC Waiter's Race (and train as a waiter at Les Halles in order to qualify).
Top Chef airs the fourth episode of the season this Wednesday (10pm on Bravo). On the gossip front, host Padma Lakshmi and husband Salman Rushdie announce their plans to divorce.
There are only three contestants left on The Next Food Network Star. Check it out on Sunday at 9pm.
Martha Stewart is in repeats all week, but if you want to catch Mario Batali's visit, it re-airs on Tuesday (NBC at 10am).
And PBS again has a triple header next Sunday, starting at 5pm. America’s Test Kitchen has an episode on Apple Desserts, followed by Lidia Bastianich making couscous on Lidia’s Italy, then by Mike Colameco’s Food Show. Each episode runs for one-half hour.
