The Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, returns April 24 to May 5. Grab your tickets, on sale now, to this year’s slate of Tribeca Talks and listen in as some of your favorite stars, directors and creators share their expertise and dish on their illustrious careers.
The Tribeca Talks: Directors Series, sponsored by Squarespace, features talks with David O. Russell, Guillermo Del Toro and a conversation at the Beacon Theatre between longtime filmmaking partners Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro. You can also catch another deity of the director’s chair at Beacon when director Francis Ford Coppola discusses the elaborate restoration of his cinematic masterpiece Apocalypse Now after a special 40th-anniversary screening.
This year’s Tribeca Talks: Storytellers, sponsored by Montefiore, features chats with can’t-be-pigeonholed artists, like musician Questlove, actor and writer Rashida Jones, author and VR pioneer Jaron Lanier, and conversations between comedians Sarah Silverman and Mike Birbiglia, and actors Michael J. Fox and Denis Leary.
New this year is a Tribeca Talk between multi-hyphenate Queen Latifah and writer-director Dee Rees about accelerating gender and racial equality behind the lens, in partnership with Procter & Gamble, and a special Tribeca Games conversation with video game creator Hideo Kojima and actor Norman Reedus about their collaboration on the upcoming video game, Death Stranding.
