Along with the surprise tornado that touched down in Brooklyn and Queens this morning came a torrent of tweets. Plenty of people expressed concern for those in the area, but just as many were focused on finding the humor in this unusual weather phenomenon. There were those who tried pleading with the tornado to hit their place of employment, plenty of Dorothy/Wizard of Oz references, and most of all, lots of hipster bashing. Here are some of the best tweets we saw—suffice to say, we're pleased to report that the spicy local culture of Brooklyn and Queens has survived.
