Jazz at Lincoln Center hosts the Best of Blue Note Records Festival November 8-18 in New York City and one lucky winner will receive a pair of tickets to the Friday, November 16th The Best of Blue Note performance (8pm at Rose Theater) and 10 CDs from the Blue Note Records catalog.

It would take a book to cite all the iconic recording sessions issued under Blue Note’s imprimatur since Alfred Lion and Frank Wolff launched the record company in 1939. In this celebration of the label that define the down-home, funky, sound known as hard bop, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will revisit previous arrangements and unveil innovative new ones of iconic repertoire by Horace Silver, Sonny Clark, Joe Henderson, and other label greats. JD Allen and JLCO’s Ryan Kisor serve as featured soloists.

The CDs in the giveaway include albums featured in the Blue Note Records Festival at JALC.
