Outdoor summer movie season is around the corner, and one of the best spots to settle in for a sunset screening is Brooklyn Bridge Park's Harbor View Lawn (nearby Governors Island is also going to be a new hot spot for movies this year).

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy has just announced the lineup for the 19th annual Movies With A View, and this year they're focusing on female voices and vision. The theme for this year is SHE DIRECTS, which "will celebrate the work of women, trans-women, and genderqueer directors." The shorts are also all directed by women, and the DJs are all women and trans-women, too. Thankfully, and obviously, no woman was ever responsible for a Sharknado film. Here's the lineup:

Online voting for the final screening opens on May 25 and closes on June 24.

Somehow the nearby Wing is not involved; however, Smorgasburg is—they're partnering with the park to bring food and drinks to the screenings this year. "Moviegoers will be able to enjoy cheeseburgers and crab cakes from Burger Supreme, Belgian-cut fries from Home Frite, pizza from Wood Fired Edibles, and homemade ice cream from Bona Bona Ice Cream. Food options will rotate throughout the season, with new concessions added every week."
