Ricky Gervais, who created The Office and played useless manager David Brent with such skill and ease that it makes Gothamist shiver, will be at the Museum of Television and Radio Monday night, speaking with Matt Rouch of TV Guide. Their talk will follow (or it precede) a screening of The Office Christmas Special, which is set to premiere on October 21 on BBC America. And if you go, ask Gervais about his fears of what NBC will do to The Office when they remake it, even though Mike Judge, who made the great Office Space is involved. Gothamist caught The Christmas Special and it's got all the great The Office elements (we have the same love-hate with Gareth that we do with early Willem Dafoe, John Malkovich and Steve Buscemi - "He's so weird-looking, yet I can't keep my eyes off him!")
