Lady Liberty's been pretty lonely since she was closed down for renovations last fall, but very soon she'll be able to open up her doors to all the tourists this city can throw at her—because she's back! The Statue of Liberty will be reopening to the public tomorrow, which is also her 126th birthday.

After a $30 million renovation, La Liberté's been outfitted with 39 new, less-steep steps, and the observation decks at the top of the statue's pedestal are now wheelchair accessible. And good news for future Independence Day visitors—Lady Liberty's also got a new air-conditioning system, which will keep her interior cool in the summer. Fire alarms, bathrooms and exit routes have also been updated, so look forward to a safer Statue next time you visit, assuming all the Frankenmadness doesn't sweep her out to sea.
