Recognizing that it's rough out there for a bibliophile, Strand Books is now offering some small relief, in the form of gifts for former Borders shoppers.
Christina Foxley, director of store events and marketing at the bookstore, told us, "We are sad to see another bookstore close and want to make sure Borders customers know that they can find the same vast selection of books (and more!), at the same great prices, at the Strand." There are no limitations; shoppers just have to show their Borders Rewards card at the register when they check out; gifts include trinkets like a reusable shopping bag, notebooks or gift wraps.
