Staten Island's incomparable PS 22 chorus (who were just in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade) has been invited to sing at President Obama's inauguration! Senator Chuck Schumer extended the invite, saying, "Staten Island's PS 22 chorus is among the top elementary school choirs in the nation, and I can think of no one better to represent our country at the presidential swearing-in ceremony. These young, talented students are role models to children across America and across the world, and I hope they will accept our invitation to sing at this important moment in our nation's history."
Now the sixty-five 5th grade students, and their teacher Gregg Breinberg (Mr. B), have a little over a month to raise money for the trip.
