Update—here's our tour of the facility! The Barclays Center, the highly-anticipated and highly-controversial new sports and entertainment arena, is opening in downtown Brooklyn today. We'll have a full photo feature later—there's a press conference happening now with developer Bruce Ratner, Mayor Bloomberg, Brooklyn Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov, Brooklyn Nets CEO Brett Yormark, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and Barclays Executive Chairman of the Americas Thomas Kalaris—but here's an image of the arena and its deliberately rusty exterior. Doesn't it look like a UFO?!
