With their 8th studio album on the way (titled Monuments to an Elegy), the Smashing Pumpkins (now on Instagram!) will be headed back out on tour. Unlike last time, however, this one is short and only includes The World's Top Cities: Berlin, London, Paris, and New York. (Though according to the press release we received, they may be adding San Francisco and their hometown of Chicago to that list as well.)

The band will play Webster Hall on December 8th (tickets on sale tomorrow, November 19th, at noon), which is much more intimate than their 2012 Barclays Center show.

As for the latest incarnation of the Pumpkins, Billy Corgan will be backed up by Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine) and Mark Stoermer (The Killers). "We're absolutely thrilled and humbled to have Brad and Mark helping us out with these shows," said Corgan "and if our rehearsals are any indication they should be one-of-a-kind."

The new album is out December 9th:

Here's some classic SP in NYC, though Corgan once told us, "Sentimentality is death."
