At the end of September, the White Castle on Metropolitan in Williamsburg shuttered overnight, leaving a slider-shaped hole in the heart of Williamsburg. The lot at Metropolitan and Humbolt was sold to 781 Metro Investors for $6.72 million. And surprise surprise, now we know what'll be replacing it.

YIMBY reports that the future 781 Metropolitan Avenue will include 81 rental units, with 20% set aside as affordable housing. It will also include 10,000 square feet of retail, a gym, roof deck, bike storage, and the sinking feeling that Williamsburg died long before you moved there.

Developer Adam America writes of the project, "The new structure is expected to be the next hottest development in the area. It is just minutes away from an endless amount of cool hangouts." Yep, cool hangouts are all over, and they just keep popping up!
