Earlier this week, the scoop sniffing reporters over at the NY Post put on their journalism caps and embraced the story of the moment: gun control the Mayan Apocalypse. Their coverage was tethered to model Niki Ghazian, who hoped to leave this world in a shower of orgasms. The Post refused to give up on the story, giving two followups about Ghazian's quest. Unfortunately, Ghazian didn't get laid—but she did learn a lesson about the types of fellows you'll attract when you plaster your boobs on the cover of the NY Post.

“I wasn’t looking for a random hook-up,” she told the Post in today's sad followup, insisting she never wanted to have sex with a stranger when she opened up to the paper about not wanting to die "on a dry spell." “People are calling me a whore now,” she said. “It’s just unfair. I just went out and had fun. I wasn’t going out to get laid.’’ Earlier in the week, she told them: “Everybody should go out feeling satisfied. If the world’s gonna end, why hold back?”

And yet, she was so close: Ghazian told them at another point that she went to a yacht party with friends Wednesday night in what the Post characterized as a classic "horny hunt for a last-minute bedmate." She told them there were several "possibilities" among the crowd: “We had a lot of fun. Emotions were heightened by the fear that the world might end,” she added.

"I think it's funny that the media hangs on every little thing I say or do even when I'm joking," she tweeted. Hopefully, with all this Post stuff behind her, she learned her lesson about being wary of what she tells—oh wait, she went on Inside Edition to discuss appearing on the cover in a bra? Oh dear.

In other news, the world didn't end.
