You may have seen a lot of SJP-wannabes yesterday around 18th Street and 6th Avenue, as the extras casting call for the Sex and the City sequel were held. The listing called for "models, celebrity types, upscale socialites, urban clubgoers, gays and lesbians, international types (Middle Eastern, Arabic, Asian, European, British) and professional soccer players" (NYMag has more photos in their slideshow if you can't get enough of what that smorgasbord looked like).
Andrea Peyser of the NY Post subjected herself to the experience (along with half of New Jersey), reporting back that the crowd donned everything from ball gowns to "body-skimming dresses" as they waited under the hot sun for their moment to shine. While the women seemed to think the wait was worth it, one man sweating in his suit declared "I feel like an animal. Now I know why they call it a cattle call."
All in all the turn out was up to around 5000 people (with at least 1000 more turned away), reports the Daily News. Coming up next: Sex-crazed fans take over the streets, again.
