If Justin Timberlake is being credited for bringing sexy back, then the Scissor Sisters can be credited for bringing disco, fun and colorful stage shows back. The (mostly) New Yorkers are back in town tomorrow night, taking the stage at MSG. Babydaddy recently took the time to answer some questions for us (he's the one in the pink pantsuit).
Let's get this out of the way, where did your band name originate?
Friend of Jake's was describing a lesbian friend of his and Jake had said "I didn't know she was a lesbian," and his friend said "Oh yeah ..she's a real Scissor Sister". After that Jake was fascinated with the phrase.
What is your first conscious memory of New York City?
As a young 13 year old visiting relatives - It was my first trip away from home alone.
When you're in town, do you have a favorite place to visit/hang out?
Virgin Megastore. DVD section.
You played the Siren Festival last summer, what was that experience like? Any Coney Island stories for us?
Having the power go out twice during our show made for a memorable Coney Island Story. Ana's is a huge fan of Coney Island , and it was special for her to perform in front of the Cyclone.

Yes - only if we styled our selves and one of us died as part of the plot.
