The New York Botanical Garden's Haunted Pumpkin Garden Experience is open through October 31st, and the centerpiece is definitely master pumpkin carver Ray Villafane's insanely detailed carving. Villafane carved his zombie tableau "out of the three largest pumpkins in the United States—about 1,800 lbs. each!" Click through for a closer look.

This weekend you can experience a "Spooky Nighttime Adventure" at the NYBG—Friday through Sunday they're offering up evening (6:30 to 8 p.m.) explorations of the sculptures, where you can view them via flashlight.
