There are still a few more days left for 2012, but surely there's something in the past 362 days that you're ready to say good-bye to? Head to Times Square, where the Times Square Alliance is holding its annual "Good Riddance Day" event today, where you can shred 2012's annoying moments (farewell, butt fumble).

One of the event's sponsors is Cintas, which specializes in "document management" (aka industrial shredding). Check out a video from a prior year:

The Times Square Alliance says, "Good Riddance Day is inspired by a Latin American tradition in which New Year’s revelers put artifacts from the previous year into giant dolls and set them on fire." Hmm, can we do this next year?

The event is being held from noon till 1 p.m., on Broadway Plaza between 43rd and 44th Streets.
