The images are sometimes peculiarly angled, blurry, grainy, or not very well-lit, but that is part of the charm of Sarah Jessica Parker's Instagram feed. The actress's photos aren't usually set up and curated like so many "Instagram influencers" out there, she's just sharing what she sees, oftentimes as a hurried New Yorker... and we really, really appreciate it.
I don't follow many celebrities on Instagram, but SJP is a must, especially for anyone who has ever felt some sort of poetic love for this beautiful, dirty town. This year I found my mood brightened so many times by her photos — which always come with a side of whimsy in the caption — that I felt like spreading the joy. If you haven't followed her yet, do it now. It's a guaranteed smile for a fleeting moment in your future, and we're gonna need all of those we can get in 2017.
Thank you, SJP, for sharing your rose-tinted view on the world.
