We'd like to echo Gothamist Arts & Events' charge that RESFEST, which starts tonight, is the place to see groundbreaking videos. In fact, we'd like to add that it's yet another great opportunity to see excellent programs of short films and animation as well. RESFEST starts tonight, with all the action at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, and Gothamist has been hooked since we went a couple years ago and there was a program of film title sequences (yes, lots of Saul Bass). This year, besides a program of short films about our commander in chief and the collection of videos from Warped Records, there's a retrospective of Jonathan Glazer's work, from his commercials, videos (Radiohead's Karma Police and Jamiroquai's Virtual Insanity) and films (Sexy Beast). Here's a program guidePDF and here's how to get tickets.

For more on great things to do in the city, Gothamist Arts & Events. And last year, RESFEST had a program of Spike Jonze's work.
