Dolly! (LIFE)

The old Forest Hills Stadium is delivering a legendary lineup this summer—so far they've announced Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, and now Dolly's coming to Queens.

Dolly Parton will bring her “Pure & Simple” show to the stadium on June 25th (tickets on sale April 16th). This is her first major U.S. tour in over 25 years (!), and she's comin' back ot to play the hits. From the stadium's press release:

Parton’s set-list will include hit songs all while weaving in a few new songs from her upcoming double-disc album Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits to be released this summer. Pure & Simple with Dolly's Biggest Hits 2-CD set will include all new material as well as a compilation of Parton’s biggest hits. She will also perform songs that have not been heard live in decades.

“We’re so excited to get out there and see the fans again. I’m really looking forward to singing songs the fans have not heard in a while, as well as the hits, while debuting a few new ones off Pure & Simple,” Parton said.

Now what are our chances that Dolly, a one-time resident of 5th Avenue and goddamn national treasure, will open a Dollywood (and dress museum) in Coney Island?
