To the delight of indie Jews and gentiles alike, Yo La Tengo announced earlier this week that they'll be bringing back their beloved Hanukkah shows for the first time in five years. The eights nights of fun run from December 12th through the 19th at Bowery Ballroom, and tickets went on sale at Friday at noon—i.e. Today Is The Day.

The famed holiday series ran for more than a decade at Maxwell's (RIP), but was cancelled after the venue shuttered in 2013. Surprising everyone, the trio announced during their Summer Stage show on Monday that they'd be reviving the Hanukkah extravaganza, this time in Manhattan.

If past Hanukkahs are any indication, expect a slew of appearances from comedians, artists, and Ira's mom.

Tickets for all shows are $40 and can be found here.

Happy Hanukkah!
