Clowns and Friends Parading Down Bedford Ave.

Clowns first congregated in Union Square.

Out of the shadows appeared clowns that had been lurking nearby.

The parade drew out all different levels of clown commitment.

Some people got in on the action last minute.

While some just put on a nose and watched.

The clowns and a marching band rode the L train to Brooklyn.

There they marched through Williamsburg to the Brick Theater.

Luckily the festival didn't hire clown cops for the police escort.

The FDNY is usually down for a little clowning around.

Once at the Brick, an assortment of colored cream pies awaited.

Naturally a pie fight broke out.

American Appareled and covered in cream pie, a true Williamsburg affair.

After a good spray down, the clowns returned to their civilian lives.
