All Points West Day One: Radiohead Returns to Liberty State Park

That could be you in that big balloon creature! Just go to Jason Hackenwerth.

Shade.

A DJ, sun, space and mist. Sometimes life is good, no?

State troopers. Note to recreational drug users: You're not in Bonnaroo anymore. This is a state park, patrolled by cops and private security. While plenty of weed smoking was smelt and observed, we also noticed security guards mingling in with the crowd.

You may remember this metal horsey ride from Burning Man, man. It's the work of a Red Hook art collective.

20 oz bottles of Aquafina brand water cost $4, but before you go all Woodstock '99 and burn down the vendor tents, be advised that there are several free water spouts throughout the ground where you can refill that bottle all day. Empty Nalgene bottles are also permitted.

Yeah, the beer situation is an outrage. As the lad handing out beer wristbands put it, "They've got this place on lockdown." Drinking is restricted to designated areas far from the stage, and choices range from Stella to Bud to a surprisingly tasty Bacardi Mojito. For $7.

The line for the beer wristbands! Get excited!

The Go! Team

Forro in the Dark, which someone was heard to describe as having the "gayest band name ever." Discuss.

Forro in the Dark

Michael Franti & Spearhead. Not as dope as that Bob Marley album "Legend" but they'll have to do.

Brooklyn's own Grizzly Bear, who are currently on tour with Radiohead. Mesmerizing.

Ed Droste from Grizzly Bear. He still doesn't know why Dirty Projectors are so fucking awesome.

The always amazing Andrew Bird & Co. He's just finished his next album and played a new song from it, Non-Animal, which killed.

The always amazing Andrew Bird & Co. He's just finished his next album and played a new song from it, Non-Animal, which killed. Other highlights included set-opener Why?, Skin is My, Tables and Chairs, and Simple X, which turns out to be a real grower.

If someone had wanted to rid the world of thousands of its most obnoxious hipsters, Girl Talk's set would have been the place to bring the heavy artillery.

Radiohead. The reason for the season.

Radiohead. There, There.

Jonny Greenwood, friend of Gothamist.

Radiohead. Morning Bell.
