The 50th anniversary of the 1964 World's Fair gets a tribute in the New York Botanical's magical 2014 Holiday Train Show. Yes, that is the Unisphere made of twigs and bark!

The train show opens tomorrow in the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Besides favorite recreations like the Brooklyn Bridge, brownstones, Grand Central Terminal, Guggenheim Museum, Midtown skyscrapers, and the original Pennsylvania Station, there are over a dozen trains running along a quarter mile of track.

Designer Paul Busse uses bark, twigs, stricks, fruits, seeds, pine cones, nuts and pods to create all of the scenes, and it's truly stunning! The trains cross bridges, trestles and go through tunnels. Check out some videos:

The NYBG has events for families as well as "Bar Car Nights" for adults. The Holiday Train Show runs through January 19th.
