With high winds and stormy weather on the way, a number of New Yorkers came together today to remove the beloved 9/11 "Memorial Tiles" that decorate a Greenwich Village fence. The tiles, which number in the thousands, were taken down and Jack Weingart Tweeted, "Will be moved to WTC site." He also added, "This is the first time the tiles are being taken down since 9/11."
