What if the subways were a spaghetti-throwing, blowjob-giving, fecal-free zone in which we were all just blissfully transported from point A to point B without any hassles or disturbing encounters? A few times a year we get a glimpse of what that sort of underground utopia might look like, when the Nostalgia Train pulls into select stations and straphangers get decked out in threads from decades when cargo pants and flip flops didn't exist.

Photographer Paul Ker went on a recent journey into the tunnels with one particularly classy crew—click through for his photos. You can hop on one yourself for the remaining Sundays of the year—get the schedule here. Just don't expect everyone to be decked out, these photos were from the Levys' Unique NY party that they host on the train every year.
