With the destruction of 5Pointz, the heaviest—and most frequently updated—concentration of street art these days is at the Bushwick Collective, roughly the area on and around Troutman Street near the Jefferson L station (you know...Jefftown).
Yesterday, the Bushwick Collective hosted their fourth annual block party, and thousands turned out to watch the live painting of murals from an all-star roster of artists, including Jerkface, Shiro, Lexi Belle, Damien Mitchell, Nerds, Danielle Mastrion, Dasic, Fetus, and Buff Monster.
There was also lots of beer, DJs and bands, dancing, Fat Joe, a parade courtesy of House of Yes, food, fun, and things for sale. Yesterday was also Bushwick Open Studios, so there was plenty of crowd-overlap between the two events.
