Perfect weather brought out crowds of millions as ginormous cartoon balloon gods smiled upon NYC, heralded by colorful floats and thousands of wranglers, clowns, dancers, and marching bands from high schools and universities from around the country.

Everything went off without a hitch even if Mariah Carey may have been lip-syncing "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

The NYPD were out on the route in unprecedented numbers, with 2500 police officers on the scene, (waving the French flag in solidarity after the recent Paris attacks) along with plenty of Bomb Squad and Counterterrorism forces. Fortunately, the festivities went off without incident—the most contentious moments involved which side of the avenue could yell "Pikachu!!!!" the loudest.
