Yesterday, the Times Square Alliance needed a superhero to help test this year's New Year's Eve confetti. So Spider-Man stepped in, for one of his final NYC duties before slinging off to Las Vegas. Spoiler: The confetti did work!

One ton of confetti will be thrown from Times Square buildings tomorrow night. As for the New Year's Eve Ball, which has been powered by Citi Bike, that will fall after Supreme Court Justice and Native New Yorker Sonia Sotomayor pushes the button. Guess Bloomberg didn't want to get into an awkward photo op with Miley Cyrus.
