The 9/11 Memorial Museum exhibit on the hunt for Osama bin Laden isn't the only reason to take a trip to lower Manhattan this month: a new park has opened up just a block away from the Memorial.

Albany Street Park, located at the corner of Greenwich and Albany Streets, was previously being used as a queuing area for crowds waiting to enter the Memorial. "That seemed silly,” Downtown Alliance President Jessica Lappin told the Post. "Why not open it back up to the public?" After some hemming and hawing between the Port Authority—they had left cement barriers up in the area—the new park finally opened this week.

Along with benches and tables, there are a bunch of games for families, including a Ping-Pong table, shuffleboard court, a giant Connect Four, mini-golf, and beanbag toss. There will be a Greenmarket open every Tuesday there. And in case you have any security concerns, fear not: there is "a high-tech, black metal fence built to stop a 15,000-pound truck traveling at 50 MPH."
