The recently opened art installation Headscapes in Long Island City is housed inside of a former taxi service center, and boasts large-scale and interactive works. The pieces were built by artists to represent "an inhabitable environment where their creativity springs from. The structures' interior spaces materialize the internal palette of symbols, feelings, theories and processes each artist uses to make their work." In other words, you'll get to get inside their head space and see where the art comes from while being inside of it—click through for what's in store.
The installation will be in place through March 24th, and the space is open Wednesdays through Sundays, 12 to 6 p.m. A list of the artists involved can be found here.
