Friday's Rockaway Beach Sandcastle Competition saw a slightly "artsier" crowd than last month's Coney Island event, in part because it was sponsored by Creative Time and featured highfalutin' ahrTISTS. The castles were judge on the basis of fun, levity, and public reception. Thankfully for all the contestants, Vincent D'Onofrio and his family weren't around to slay them.
