Yesterday, Crest Hardware was festooned with hardware-inspired art for the annual Crest Fest, where neighborhood artists display their work alongside the merchandise. Our own Katie Sokoler says that the old-school, family-owned store was "PACKED with hipsters," and that one woman expressed confusion at its suddenly popularity: "I just wanted to buy a light bulb!"

Proceeds from the event benefited the City Reliquary Museum. We especially dig the "Pimp My Throne" installation, if only because if something in our place needs to be "pimped" it's definitely the toilet seat.
