NetflixNetflix has been granted a patent for its rental system business model, in an effort to maintain its competitive advantage over Wal-Mart and Blockbuster. An analyst tells the Hollywood Reporter, "The patent is very extensive. Competitors appear to be violating that patent. I think Netflix will do everything they can to make it painful for the competition." Gothamist says yes to anything to squeeze out those behemoths. Wal-Mart and Blockbuster have the edited versions of the so-called violent/explicit films, which limits what people can see and that's just stupid.
