bikelaneblock15.jpgWhat's in YOUR bike lane? A cop car? A truck convoy? A squirrel? Homeland Security? Rapturists? The blood bus?

If you're fed up with bike lane blockers, you could drop $5 on these stickers and hope you don't get cut while placing them on said blocker's vehicle. While they spend hours scraping it off, they can think about what they've done, and will surely come out of the experience changed, never blocking another lane again. The creators of the sticker warn:

"If you choose to participate, please be safe and aware of your actions—you may be confronted with aggression or legal implications from drivers. Please take caution and use your judgement. By purchasing and using these stickers, you agree that #IParkedInABikeLane assumes no responsibility or liability due to altercation, injury, damages, legal issues, etc due to individual use of these stickers, and your actions are of your own accord."

Our in-house cyclist Jake Dobkin says, "I support their political action, but stickers are a little passive aggressive. The real New York move is just to bash in the windshield with a bike lock or slash the tires with your trusty bike repair knife." Though please take note, as with the stickers, if you choose to participate in the bashing and slashing tactic, please be safe and aware of your actions—you may be confronted with aggression or legal implications from drivers.
