Last year, the New York Botanical Garden welcomed a 1,810 pound pumpkin from Wisconsin, and this year an even bigger pumpkin has arrived! Yesterday they unveiled a 1,818.5 pound pumpkin from Quebec, Canada, as well as three others. The 2nd runner up was a 1,807 pounder from Pennsylvania, then a 1,704 pounder from California, and another one from that state coming in at 1,693 pounds. (Based off of some quick math we did last year, one of these guys could probably make about 1,400 pumpkin pies!) They'll all be on display until the 30th, when presumably they have to go perform their duties as the Great Pumpkin, visiting pumpkin patches around the world:

Or they'll be carved.
