The_Jews_of_New_York.jpgThe Jews of New York (Sunday, 8:00 p.m., WLIW; Thursday, 9:00 p.m., Thirteen) Ed Koch, Russ & Daughters Appetizers, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the creative team behind Fiddler on the Roof are profiled in this one hour overview of the history and impact of the Jewish community in New York. The show has some great New York City history content, although it seemed like it should have been a bit longer so they could get a bit more in. Still it is an interesting look at the contributions of New York’s Jewish community through the years.

Also of note today:
Breaking Bad (Sunday, 10:00 p.m., AMC) In this new series from the network formerly known as American Movie Classics, Bryan Cranston (the dad on Malcolm in the Middle) stars as a terminally ill chemistry teacher who decides to make some money putting his chemical know how to use with a drug lab in order to get some money for his family.

And, of course, the NFC Championship Game: New York Giants at Green Bay Packers (Sunday, 6:30PM, FOX) Tom Coughlin's team will freeze (it's -13 with wind chill of 49 degrees) on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field for a chance to head to the Super Bowl.
