Though people were told not to show up before 3 p.m., the line outside of Erasmus Hall High School on Flatbush Avenue started hours before that. Tonight, Neil Diamond will play his first ever Brooklyn show inside his old alma mater. While many have tickets (we were told around 600 will be in attendance), a limited number of tickets were to be handed out at 3 p.m. today. Only 65 people on line will get in, we were told on the scene.

One fan, Jackie Beck, told us, "We made the trip from Pennsylvania without even knowing if we won tickets. We've been here since 8 a.m. I love him so much. His songs are from the heart." Another man, identifying himself only as Gary, told us, "I've been to 197 Neil diamond concerts in 8 countries. I'm not supposed to be here since I called in sick to work. I flew in from Texas for this."

Shine on your crazy Diamond... fans.
