Throughout the year there's been a growing conspiracy theory positing that both Jack and Rose could have survived on that raft at the end of James Cameron's Titanic. Cameron has insisted there is no blood on his hands, and that only one could have survived because of buoyancy or dramatic story lines or whatever. Well, in last night's episode of Mythbusters, hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman proved Cameron wrong. Check out the set-up below.
Crushable notes that as the two stayed on top of the board for the full 63 minutes it took for Rose to get rescued, drowning was not a danger. Hyneman concluded, "I think Jack’s death was needless.” Cameron declared: “The script says Jack died. He has to die. So maybe we screwed up and the board should have been a little tiny bit smaller, but the dude’s goin’ down.”
