Looking for a fun, bloody way to celebrate Memorial Day, but annoyed at how medium well your friend's BBQ was last year? Fear not: later today there is the 4th annual Springtime NYC Zombie Crawl in Williamsburg. And what better way to ring in the summer than with a night of undead dancing!

You can head over to Knitting Factory in Williamsburg at 4 p.m., where there'll be drink specials for participants, and zombie technicians will be providing makeup for civilians who wish to become undead. Then at 6 p.m., zombies will crawl down Bedford Avenue—and special for this year, they will be shooting a scene for Punk Rock Holocaust 3, depicting a zombie attack on Brooklyn hipsters.

And everyone who's interested can participate: “Part of Punk Rock Holocaust 3 is getting the fans involved both as victims in the movie as well as filmmakers shooting footage so we’re using the NYC Zombie Crawl as a launch for that. Everyone can shoot footage with their phones, cameras, whatever - and then upload it,” Doug Sakmann, director of the film and organizer of the event, told CBS.

There will be zombie games at McCarren Park at about 6:45, including a human tug-o-war, and then the crawl will end at Public Assembly for the afterparty. Make sure to send all your photos to tips@gothamist.com, or tag them as "Gothamist" on Flickr!
